Instrument Repair Services Order Form Price List and Certificate of Sterilization for Instrument Repairs

gSource is committed to putting the finest surgical instruments into the hands of surgeons and their teams.  We are now expanding our commitment by offering sharpening, spring and screw replacement and refurbishing repair services to ensure quality performance during the entire life of your gSource instruments.

Our highly skilled in-house repair technicians will expertly sharpen and repair your gSource instruments, and other instrument brands, according to gSource Verified Quality standards.  Our superior customer service teamed with our highly skilled instrument repair technicians will ensure you receive an excellent repair experience.

Instrument Repair Options

  • Inspection prior to sharpening:  Instrument will be inspected for excessive wear to confirm whether sharpening is viable.
  • Sharpening:  Care is taken to produce ultra-sharp cutting edges while removing minimal material.
  • Final quality inspection:  Sharpness, absence of burrs, function testing and overall workmanship.
  • Instrument is sealed in plastic bag.

Pricing for sharpening of specific instrument groups is listed on our Price List. If you need sharpening of an instrument that is not listed, please send us the instrument for review and evaluation. We will provide you with a quote for your approval prior to sharpening.

  • Inspection prior to spring and/or screw replacement:  Instrument will be inspected to confirm whether spring or screw replacement is viable and if needed components are available.
  • Replacement of spring(s) and/or screw(s).
  • Final quality inspection:  Function test and overall workmanship.
  • Instrument is sealed in plastic bag.

There is no charge for Leaf or Barrel Springs on gSource instruments.  You will be charged for labor only as listed on our Price List.  If you prefer to replace the leaf or barrel springs of your gSource instrument yourself, please contact gSource Customer Service to request the springs be shipped to you at no charge.

Hinge screw replacement does not have pricing listed on our Price List. Our repair technicians will need to review and evaluate your instrument once it is received. We will provide you with a quote for components and labor for your approval prior to replacing.

  • Surface refinishing (satin or mirror finish)
  • Marking
  • Cleaning and Lubrication:  Stains are removed when possible and instruments are polished to original finish.
  • Final quality inspection:  Sharpness, absence of burrs, function test and overall workmanship.
  • Instrument is sealed in plastic bag.

Pricing is listed on our Price List.  Our repair technicians will need to review and evaluate your instrument once it is received.  We will provide you with a quote for your approval prior to refurbishing.

Refurbishing your instruments will help bring them back to “like-new” condition.  This is extremely beneficial as it extends the useful life of your instruments by helping to maintain their optimal function while also reducing your replacement costs.  With instrument sharpening and repair by gSource, you can be confident that your instruments will function properly during critical surgical procedures and will be returned to you in a timely and economical manner.

gSource also offers color code and etch removal on instruments.  Pricing is listed on our Price List.  Please indicate any other repair service that does not have pricing on our Price List.  Our repair technicians will need to review and evaluate your instrument once it is received. We will provide you with a quote for your approval prior to refurbishing.

gSource Repair Warranty

Instruments repaired by gSource repair technicians are guaranteed to be free from defects in material and workmanship for 90 days when used for their intended surgical purpose.  Any repair that proves defective in workmanship or material within this 90 day period will either be repaired again or replaced, at the discretion of gSource, without charge.  Instruments must be cleaned and sterilized prior to returning to gSource.

This warranty is void for gSource instruments serviced by any person or facility other than gSource.  Warranty is not valid for gSource instruments that prove defective as a result of improper care and cleaning or misuse.

Instructions For Sending an Instrument Needing Sharpening or Repair to gSource:

  1. Review our Price List. 
  2. Print out and complete our Order Form.  Please be sure to complete your contact information and address for the return shipment.  Refer to the Price List for Repair Codes to include on Order Form where noted.  Include the quantity, part number and description of the instrument being returned where noted.
  3. Sterilize instrument prior to shipment to gSource.  All returns to gSource must be accompanied by a Certificate of Sterilization for Instrument Repairs.
  4. Enclose the completed order form and Certificate of Sterilization in the package with the sterilized instrument needing sharpening or repair and ship via prepaid shipping to:

After sharpening and/or repair of your instrument is completed, you will receive an invoice for payment.  Payment must be received prior to shipment of your repaired instrument.  We accept VISA, MasterCard and AMEX credit card payments.  When you receive your invoice, please contact gSource Customer Service at 800-978-1119 with your credit card payment information.  Our default ship method is UPS Ground unless an alternate method is specified.
